What Are The Benefits of Massage?
Massage therapy does more than just feel good — it’s also good for your body and mind. According to the Mayo Clinic, massage can help reduce stress, ease muscle tension, and relieve pain. Research from Harvard has also shown that massage may help injured muscles heal faster and stronger.
Beyond relaxation, massage may support relief from anxiety, fibromyalgia, tension headaches, joint pain, soft tissue strains, and trouble sleeping. It’s one of the many reasons people make it a regular part of their self-care.
At its core, massage gives your body space to reset. Whether you’re managing daily stress or long-term discomfort, it helps your system slow down, breathe easier, and feel more like yourself again.
How Often Should I Get a Massage?
How often you should get a massage depends on your needs, goals, and lifestyle. For general stress relief or routine maintenance, most guests benefit from scheduling a massage every 4 to 6 weeks.
If you’re managing chronic pain, healing from an injury, or dealing with frequent muscle tension, weekly or biweekly sessions may help provide more consistent relief.
After working with you to understand your body and concerns, your licensed massage therapist at Natural Body can recommend a schedule that supports your wellness goals.

What Areas Are Covered in a Full-Body Massage?
A full-body massage typically includes your arms, legs, hands, feet, neck, shoulders, scalp, and back. Depending on your comfort level and treatment goals, your massage therapist may also address your glutes, abdomen, chest (pecs only), or face.
Before your session begins, your therapist will talk with you about your preferences and any areas you’d like to include, or skip. You’re always in control of what’s treated, and we’ll tailor your massage to what feels right for you.

What Is a Licensed Massage Therapist?
In Georgia, licensed massage therapists (LMTs) must complete at least 500 hours of training in anatomy, physiology, and hands-on techniques, and pass a national board exam. LMTs are regulated by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy to ensure safety and professional standards.
What Should I Wear During A Massage?
Guests choose to undress to their comfort level — from their birthday suit to keeping on their underwear. Your massage therapist will step out while you get settled on the table. During your session, you’ll remain discreetly draped with a sheet, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Minors Policy:
Guests under the age of 17 are required to wear a bathing suit or under garments while receiving a massage.
Will I Feel Sore After My Massage?
Some people feel a little sore after a massage, especially after deeper work or if it’s your first session in a while. That soreness is usually mild and temporary. It’s your muscles adjusting as tension is released and circulation increases. Staying well-hydrated and doing light stretching afterward can help ease any discomfort.
Can I Choose the Gender of My Massage Therapist?
Yes, guests have a choice of their therapist’s gender. When you schedule your massage, whether online or by phone, you’re welcome to request a male or female therapist. We want you to feel completely at ease during your session.
What’s the Difference Between Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage?
Swedish massage uses gentle, flowing strokes and lighter pressure to promote relaxation and boost circulation. It’s perfect for reducing stress or easing into massage.
Deep Tissue massage uses slower, more focused pressure to reach deeper muscles and fascia—great for chronic tension or soreness from repetitive strain.
