• Shave the treatment area 24 to 48 hours before your session, unless your provider instructs you otherwise.
• Do not wax, pluck, or tweeze the hair prior to treatment, as this can affect the results.
• Avoid sun exposure on the treatment area for at least 4 to 6 weeks before your appointment.
• Skip lotions, sunscreens, perfumes, and cosmetics on the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

Taking care of your skin after laser hair removal helps ensure a smooth recovery and the best long-term results. Follow these simple steps after your session:

• Stay out of the sun until the treated area has fully returned to its normal color (no redness or swelling). Apply a gentle, broad-spectrum sunscreen daily if the area is exposed.
• Expect mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn. These effects usually fade within a few hours but can sometimes last up to 2–3 days.
• Use ice packs or gel packs (wrapped in a clean cloth—never direct ice) during the first few hours after treatment to reduce any swelling or discomfort. Continue as needed if redness or sensitivity persists.
• Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the treated skin while it heals.
• Do not wax, tweeze, or use electrolysis on the treated area between sessions, as this can interfere with your results.
• Gently cleanse the area with mild soap and water for the first three days—pat dry and avoid scrubbing.
• You can bathe or shower normally, but treat the skin gently for the first 24 hours, just as you would with a sunburn.
