Ways to prepare include:

• Scrub your skin with a loofah
• Clean your skin with mild soap
• Cut your hair down to a quarter-inch
• Let it grow to a quarter-inch
• Apply powder to keep targeted areas dry

To begin the process, we apply warm wax to the targeted area, put pretreated wipes on top of the wax, and then pull it off quickly. You might feel some discomfort, but it leaves quickly.

With waxing, removing hair by the root can invite germs down into your open hair follicles. That’s why after your procedure, you need to apply a bacteria-fighting, soothing product.

To avoid ingrown hairs, exfoliate your skin daily, but wait at least 24 hours after your treatment.

As your hair starts to grow back, you should have less itching with waxing than you do with shaving. Waxing also gets easier with each time you come in to see us because your skin acclimates to the procedure and becomes softer and smoother.
