Our Ashburn spa has achieved Silver LEED certification. Our commitment was to build a spa that met the LEED requirements but also spoke to the "green" idea through our choices of earth tone finishes. The idea of Spa was born from water and the Sea. This philosophy makes our water reduction of 30% even more unique. Utilzing Low flow faucets, dual flush toilets and laundry machines that are "energy star" rated and use less water then conventional machines. Lighting power was reduced by 15% using compact fluorescent bulbs on dimmers in all service rooms. We also purchased Green Energy Credits for wind power equal to 100% of our energy consumption per year. We use materials that contain high amounts of recycled content, including floors through out the spa, tile used in our bathrooms and pedicure rooms.

Another interesting, sustainable feature is our checkout counter, made from recycled newspapers. Ceiling tiles, metal studs, and drywall also contain recycled content. Five percent of the building materials were sourced from rapidly renewable materials including wheat straw and bamboo. All paint, sealants, carpets, and seating meet the LEED standard for low VOC emitting materials.

We strive to set the standard for the ultimate Green Spa experience. This is evident in our natural approach to massage, aesthetics and body treatments and our commitment to healthy natural and organic products throughout the retail shoppe.
